Epson’s new Full HD 1080p EMP-TW980 Projector

Epson has announced the launch of the latest addition to its high-level home-entertainment projector range, the Epson EMP-TW980. Providing a 16:9 large-screen, cinema experience in the comfort of your own home, the EMP-TW980 has been designed to bring the benefits of full HD 1920 x 1080p resolution to film, television and gaming fanatics at an economical price.

Epson’s exclusive 3LCD and C2Fine technologies combine to deliver impressive high definition, high contrast and silky images with jet-blacks. In addition, Epson’s dynamic iris technology automatically adjusts white and black levels according to the scene brightness to ensure contrast ratios and picture qualities remain consistently high regardless of content. The EMP-TW980 also offers an outstanding contrast ratio of 10,000:1 and a brightness of 1200 ANSI Lumens.

With adaptability and ease of use a primary consideration, the projector comes with pre-configured colour modes so that it can be easily set up to deliver its optimum performance in varied environments and ambient light conditions. The vertical and horizontal lens shift feature means the projector can operate from almost any location in a room without compromising on picture quality – allowing a 96% shift vertically and a 47% shift to the left or right. A wide range of connectivity options, including HDMI v1.3, enables the projector to work in harmony with even the most up-to-date audio visual equipment.
