Connecting Your World with the HP iPAQ 910c

June 9, 2008 - By Justin Hartman

I flew in yesterday to Berlin, Germany to attend the unique HP Connecting Your World conference which will take place on the 9th and 10th of June.

The conference is an opportunity for us to hear industry leaders from around the world discussing the new technology that HP plans to roll out. From vice presidents of worldwide divisions to directors of design, Nudjit has been given the chance to speak with people who are helping create various personal and business technology experiences.

I will be covering some key events, speeches and one-on-one interviews from the conference on Nudjit so watch this space in the coming days.

As part of the welcome pack, all journalists were given a pre-release HP iPAQ 910c Business Messenger phone. This brand new iPAQ will only start shipping on June 30th and we’ve been fortunate enough to be the very first to test drive this new mobile device.

HP have given us a pre-paid T-Mobile SIM card which I will now use with Google Maps and the built in GPS device to find my way around Berlin. They have also included mapping software of the city so I’m keen to test if this device can help me navigate through a city I’ve never been in before.

I will do a more detailed review when I get back to South Africa but in the mean time have a look at some of the specifications below.

Yes, sorry it does have a microSD memory expansion slot plus it has voice recorder and comes with a cool headset. I’ve expanded the specs above to include this.

[...] Although the site looks like its fairly new, and some of the content is a weeny bit thin at this stage, I think it has huge potential and I’ll definitely be subscribing to their feed to follow all their latest gadget news. The latest post is by Justin Hartman, author of Chapter 7 of the new SA Blook and co-founder of Afrigator.com. He’s in Berlin at the moment, attending the “HP Connecting Your World Conference” and, as part of the journalist welcome pack, he was given a pre-release HP iPAQ 910c Business Messenger phone! Lucky bugger =) Anyway, you can scoot over to Nudgit and read his first impressions of the phone. [...]
