jacSharp wins global HP Design Your Personal Life competition

In February we covered the HP Design Your Personal Life competition where 5 South African bands took part in a world-wide, live telecast and jacSharp emerged as the winner of the local leg.

A final battle of the bands contest was launched online and the four winning bands from South Africa, Dubai, Athens and Istanbul competed against each other for the coveted prize of being the global winner of the competition.

Last night, at a special gala event in Berlin, it was announced that jacSharp was the global winner and we were all treated to a selection of live songs by the band. This is a great accolade not only for jacSharp but also South Africa as a whole and I managed to spend some quality time with Juliet, Ben, Carl and Emelio.

They are an awesome talent and they will be launching their first album next month so why not listen to the track that won them the competition and see what you think.
