Disney TT450 2 Slice Toaster
June 20, 2008 - By Gregor Rohrig
I was looking at buying a toaster the other day. The choices where endless, but no toaster, irrespective of its fancy brushed metal exterior or ultrasonic toasting speed, convinced me. Coincidentally I walked past a red and silver Disney toaster and was so intrigued that I bought it…
General overview:
The Disney TT450 2 Slice Toaster is produced by Kenwood, a well-established brand for kitchen appliances. An image of Mickey Mouse and the words “Mornin” are printed on one side of the shiny silver side panel, of the compact kitchen appliance.
Special Features:
The TT450 is not any normal toaster. This particular toaster prides itself with some extraordinary features:
This toaster burns the image of a smiling Mickey Mouse onto your toast, I’m not joking! That is what I call service with a smile.
I was a little skeptical about this feature, until I actually saw it. The toast has a very clear image of a smiling Mickey Mouse on it.
It also, and this is by far my favourite feature, plays a short and happy music tune (Mickey Mouse March) when your toast is done. I find this not only an amusing, but also useful feature – never again will you get back into the kitchen finding a cold piece of toast stuck in your toaster.
This kitchen appliance is intended for kids (or at least entertain them), however, I would still recommend this toaster to anyone, as it brings out that little bit of kid, which is in all of us.
More product features:
- Metal toaster
- Red metal ends
- Defrost and cancel buttons
- Crumb tray
Conclusion:
The Disney toaster toasts like any other toaster. But, the toasting experience is unique, it’s entertaining, and it’s fun. I now start my morning with a smiling Mickey, a Disney tune, and fresh toast - breakfast time has definitely never been this enjoyable before!
Price and availability:
The toaster is available at Boardmans and retails for R400.00
